iDebate's World Debate Clubs will be debating gender identity and labeling in a public debate to mark the 50th anniversary of the Sexual Offences Act.
We will be debating the motion: This House believes that labels like “LGB and T” will be irrelevant to future generations in our increasingly gender-fluid world.
The debate will take place from 18:00 to 20:00 on Wednesday 29th November. It will be taking place at City Hall.
Do come along and support our students at the event!
UK Parliament Week: Engage, Explore and Empower
As part of iDebate’s advocacy to raise awareness, promote the values of democracy, British values and the civil society; we are proud to join the UK Parliament Week through the World Debate Club and conduct meaningful debating activities which allow the young people to get to know how the British parliamentary works whilst discussing the most pressing issues concerning them.
Are you bored without your fix of debating over the summer? Looking for a little bit of extra training before Tallinn EUDC in August? Or just aiming to learn a little more about debate? Then join iDebate on the 24th July as Duncan Crowe delivers a debate masterclass.
The two hour session will give lots of opportunity to hone your debate skills, engage in debate, and learn about what it is IDEA is doing in and around London.
If you are interested in taking part email Duncan Crowe.

We will be refreshing the basics, learning advanced techniques, and working on the topics of the debate. This is the second part of that training. It is intended for those who have little experience or not trained much with IDEA before. We will however welcome others from our parliament debate who simply want more practice.
